Alex Telles is a professional football player who plays as a left-back for FC Porto in Portugal's top tier, the Primeira Liga. He was born on May 19, 1996, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Telles began his career with Flamengo, one of the most successful clubs in Brazilian football history. After playing for several years with Flamengo, he moved to Italy to join Serie A club Sampdoria in 2017. While at Sampdoria, he made over 150 appearances and scored four goals.

In January 2018, Telles signed a five-year contract with Portuguese giants Benfica. However, after just two seasons at Benfica, he returned to Brazil to sign with Flamengo once again.
